Survey Results

Bennington Public Schools used the services of Northwall Strategies to conduct a community survey in July. The random sample survey (using scientific methodologies) was conducted by EZPolitix, LLC, a subsidiary company of Northwall Strategies, via phone and text message over a five-day period in July. Results of this survey helped identify the wants and needs of the district and community along with support for specific bond issue amounts.

There is a total of 10,983 registered voters in Bennington Public Schools boundaries and there was a total of 465 surveys validated and included in the results. Using Cochran's Formula, the number of surveys collected gives us a 95% confidence level with less than 4.5 margin of error.

Highlights of the Survey

91% Believe BPS provides an Excellent or Good quality of education.
94% Believes the quality of education is much better or somewhat better compared to other districts.
88% Believe BPS has Excellent or Good quality of facilities.
Over 2/3 have a lot or some confidence in the Superintendent and the Board of Education.
68% Support the building of a 2nd High School.
73% Want the same academic programming at both high schools.
