Fifth grade students at Pine Creek Elementary took part in a hands on lesson to learn about the rain shadow effect. Using creative models with fans, tarps, and bubbles, students explored how precipitation changes across a mountain. They then used National Geographic MapMaker to examine real world precipitation patterns and identify rain shadow examples. This engaging lesson helped bring science concepts to life through interactive learning. #WeAreBPS
