What to do if you have a positive COVID-19 individual in your house and how it effects your student(s)

1. Contact the schools your child attend

2. The positive COVID-19 case needs to isolate

3. Depending on when the positive case started isolating, determines the last date of contact for the non-infected household members

4. If the student is Unvaccinated, the student must quarantine at home away from the positive individual. They may return to school with a negative COVID-19 test on Day 5 or later from the last time they were in close contact with the household member and may return to school after Day 7. The student should wear a mask and continue to self-monitor through Day 14. 5. If the student is Vaccinated, the student may return to school as long as the positive household member continues to isolate while they are contagious and the student wears a mask until they have proof of a negative COVID-19 test or for 14 days.

Your child's school building will be able to assist you with navigating return dates and completing school work during these times.
