The Voting Process

Are You Registered to Vote on the Bond Issue?
You will need to register if your address has changed since the last time you voted.
Ballots will be mailed after your application has been processed.

  • Register In Person
    Go to the Douglas County Election Commission
    12220 W Center Road, Omaha, NE 68144
    Must complete in-person registration by February 28th
If you are not registered by February 28th, you are not eligible to vote on the bond issue.

The Voting Process, It’s as Easy as 1, 2, 3!

After voting, put the ballot in the provided envelope and then…

  1. Write your driver’s license or state ID number on the ballot return envelope or enclose copy of your photo ID in your ballot return envelope. 

  2. Sign the back of the envelope.

  3. Submit your ballot to the Election Office
    1. Put a stamp on the envelope and mail through the post office
      1. March 4th is the last day to mail ballots
    2. Drop the envelope off at a drop box or at the Election Office

        1. Douglas County Election Office (12220 W Center Road)
        2. Douglas County Engineer’s Office (15505 W Maple Road)
        3. Omaha Public Library - Elkhorn Branch (2100 Reading Plaza)
        4. Omaha Public Library - Abrahams Branch (5111 N 90th Street)
      2. March 11th at 5pm is the last day to drop off your ballot

All ballots must be in the hands of the election office by 5:00 PM on March 11th or they will not count.
