Financial FAQ

The Bennington School District has continued to see significant growth and the Board has tried to address this growth with a building plan that will accommodate the additional children coming into the system. These projections, plans and development of strategies have always been cognizant of the bond levy and its impact on District taxpayers. The projections for bond issuance and debt service have attempted to mitigate the impact of tax levy increases. This strategy keeps the bond fund levy manageable for the existing taxpayers and allows for the debt service burden to be shared with future residents and taxpayers, which is the reason for the improvements and additional debt.

Bennington Public Schools will continue to update questions below regarding Bond Fund information throughout the coming months. We will add new information as needed and update responses as the District gathers input from the community.
